We had such a great time using Fruit Loops to learn about tens and ones. Who would ever know that maths could be so yummy?!

We got into the Air Show spirit by measuring the area of a plane. To count how many blocks there were - you guessed it - we grouped our blocks into tens. That made our counting so much easier!

The Not-So-Ugly Ducklings
We have been invited to a performance of 'The Ugly Duckling' written by some drama students from Lara Secondary College. We met the high school kids and they spoke to us about the story. We even had real ducklings to pat! (Thanks to Ms Jackson!)
Inquiry
We have been investigating Sustainability. We are really looking forward to doing some of our own gardening, and in the meantime we were happy to make our own pet rocks with some grade 6 helpers.
